I was disappointed to learn that my son’s XBox 360 can grab music and pictures from my Windows XP PC, but it can only stream video from a Windows Media Center Edition (MCE) PC. I downloaded and installed Windows Media Player 11 Beta 2 because the Microsoft Web site says it can stream video from your PC to an XBox 360. I suspect that’s not the case–yet–because the XBox 360 still only offers to play videos stored on the local hard drive.

It seems that maybe the 360 needs an upgrade to take advantage of the new video streaming feature of Windows Media Player 11. Does anyone know if this is the case? Or is it possible to stream video from Windows Media Player 11 to a 360 today?
