Check out these photos of an R/C model of the new Airbus 580. To say it’s huge is an understatement! Better yet, check out this video of it flying. I’m trying to find information about the builder, but so far I’ve had no luck. Those are real gas turbine engines under the wing, and there are four of them, no less. That’s one scary piece of machinery.
Meanwhile, here’s a video of a giant-scale B-24 model on what is evidently its first–and last–flight. Ouch!
Our old pal Mark Russinovich is stirring up trouble again; seems he discovered that certain Sony CDs put some really nasty stuff on your PC in the name of copy protection. It’ll take more than a boatload of engineers over in the U.K. to outfox Mark. He’s one of the smartest guys on the planet and he did us all a favor by exposing Sony’s antics.
